Doomal

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 23, 2026

Doomal (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an iOS app that translates between English and Korean. This Privacy Policy explains how Doomal handles your information.

On-Device by Design

Doomal does its work on your device. Speech recognition, translation, and text-to-speech all run locally using Apple’s built-in frameworks. There are no accounts, and we do not operate any servers — what you say or type never reaches us, because we have nowhere to receive it.

The first time you use a language, Apple’s frameworks may download the necessary translation and speech-recognition models from Apple over the internet. These downloads are managed by iOS and contain no personal information — your speech, text, and translations are never sent to Apple or anyone else.

What We Collect

We collect nothing. Everything stays on your device:

  • What you say or type — processed locally to produce a translation and never transmitted to us or any third party.
  • Translation history — stored only on your device and automatically removed after 7 days. You can clear it at any time, and deleting the app deletes it.
  • Preferences — settings like your chosen voices and appearance are saved locally on your device.

Permissions

Doomal asks for microphone and speech recognition access so it can hear and transcribe what you say. These are used on-device for translation only. You can revoke them anytime in the iOS Settings app.

Analytics & Advertising

We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your information, because we never collect it in the first place.

Children’s Privacy

Doomal is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
